Diploma of Project Management - Trainer

Tony’s vocational background includes more than 20 years’ experience as a Senior Project and Program Manager. He is also a Trainer and Assessor in Program and Project Management Diploma courses, and further has an ongoing interest in, and is open to, undertaking appropriate pro-bono or consulting project and program management assignments.

Tony's project management credentials & certifications include holding a bachelor’s degree from the Faculty of Business, Justice & Behavioural Sciences, Charles Sturt University; a Dip. PM Swinburne University; and Yellow Belt certified in Lean/Six Sigma. Tony is also a PMI certified member of the Project Management Institute and completed the Business Leadership Program at Melbourne Business School.

Tony is a dedicated professional who has received industry & business awards with recognition that reflect his diligent and thorough approach to the projects he manages. These various awards have been in recognition of his values of Accountability, Professionalism and Teamwork through exemplary work carried out through various projects.

Tony has held consultant roles, has been responsible for rescuing troubled projects and for conducting business audit review projects and due diligence projects, both across Australia and internationally, including as part of merger & acquisition projects, organisational change management and supply chain projects.

Entry Requirements

You must meet the following criteria in order to be eligible to apply

Students must be at least 18 years of age at the time of enrolment. All applicants are required to:

  • have the ability to read and write English and display numeracy skills to at least Year 12 level;
  • have completed Australian Year 12 schooling or equivalent (certified copy required); or,
  • have completed a Nationally recognised Certificate IV qualification delivered in English within the last 5 years (certified copy required); or,
  • have at least 2 years of relevant industry experience in a role that requires the use of written documentation and effective communication skills (evidence required).

Frequently Asked Questions

How long do courses go for?

Our courses consist of completing 12 units over 48 weeks, broken up into 3 terms of 16 weeks (no breaks between terms).

You can start the course any month you like and study at your own pace as long as the entire course is completed within the 48 weeks from the date you begin.

Are the assessments all online?

Yes, all assessments are online. Students will be assessed in every unit and there are 3 assessment tasks in each unit.

Task 1- Knowledge questions/quiz
Task 2- Practical and skills based
Task 3- Practical and skills based

Tasks 2 and 3 may include the following methods of assessing: Case study analysis/ Report writing/ Role plays/ Presentations etc. Role plays and presentations are designed to establish simulation and to demonstrate practical and/or oral communication skills.

You will be required to organise these with other people, which can be your family, friends or workplace colleagues.

Your course materials are available via the learning platform, and you will submit all your assignments to your trainer via GOALS.

You will get feedback, and will be assessed as competent or not competent for your work.

Our academic counsellors and trainers are available to provide further assistance to reach your study goals.

When can I begin a course?

You can begin your course any month you want.

Does Work Ready Education recognise previous accredited study?

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) - WRE will recognise your previous skills, knowledge or experience acquired outside of your formal education and how this could contribute towards obtaining a Nationally Recognised Qualification.

By applying for RPL, you could reduce the amount of time you need to study and get your qualification faster.

Credit Transfer – WRE will recognise your previously completed unit(s) at another Registered Training Organisation and will provide credit towards the qualification.

What do I need to be eligible for Work Ready Education courses?

Students must be at least 18 years of age at the time of enrolment. All applicants are required to:

VLS Eligibility Requirements

To be an eligible student, you must meet ALL of these criteria 

  •  You are: 

               - an Australian citizen or 
               - a qualifying New Zealand citizen or 
               - a permanent humanitarian visa holder, who is usually resident in Australia. 

  • Your HELP balance (the amount of your HELP loan limit you have left) is more than $0. This means you have enough HELP loan limit remaining for your proposed studies to be covered by the loan. The HELP loan limit is the limit on how much you can borrow. (Any borrowing under FEE-HELP, VET FEE-HELP, VET Student Loans and, from 1 January 2020, HECS-HELP will count towards your HELP loan limit.)
  • You are enrolled with an approved course provider in an approved course and have enrolled in accordance with the application requirements.
  • You are studying the approved course primarily at a campus in Australia.   
  • You meet the Tax File Number (TFN) requirements.
  • You have a Unique Student Identifier (USI) or are otherwise exempt.
  • You have given the required documents to your approved course provider and submitted the loan application form by the first census day no less than two business days after enrolling.
